LicensingLicences available overseasLicences are available to reputable educational organisations with a proven record to deliver our courses outside the UK within a defined geographical area. We provide distance-learning texts, which may be supported by audio CDs and videos and/or DVDs. In some cases tutorial support may be available as an optional extra. The right to translate our material is also available, subject to certain conditions.Existing licensees:
Terms Applicable to LicenseesLicences for the use of the PIC course materials are given after due consideration of the applicant's resources and experience for performing effective delivery including the ability to cope with the expected student numbers. Licensees must be operators capable of running as a college in their own right as PIC does not engage with those who are only promoters. Licences are subject to negotiated royalty terms for which PIC operates established guidelines. There will normally be a minimum royalty clause.Licences are normally for an initial five years and are renewable if the criteria are being fully met. In courses that require tutors, the licensee provides these under PIC supervision. Where translation is required into languages other than English, licensees are given translation rights subject to the control of the accuracy of the translations by PIC. All arrangements are subject to written contracts duly signed on behalf of the parties and subject to the laws of the United Kingdom. It is for the licensee to ensure compliance with local laws and regulatory requirements, but where this requires modification of course material for a particular country, this requires agreement with and participation by PIC. There will not normally be more than two licensees within the same territory for any particular course. Some licensees prefer to accompany distance-learning materials with limited in-class delivery. This is permitted with suitable overview by PIC. |
